The church is located around 5 KM north of Ernakulam Central Railway station in Ernakulam-Aluva bus route.
This is a major shrine in the name of St. Antony in Kerala. People from all over Kerala come here, and request prayer of St. Antony for getting rid of their difficulties and also fulfillment of their wishes.
The Shrine is under Veropoly Arch Diocese of Latin Catholic Church.

The shrine was blessed in year 1915 as a small chapel under St. Francis Xavier Church, Kathrikkadu.
The shrine became a major shrine soon, and its glory spread all over Kerala and outside the state.
