The church was founded on 1978.
Fr. Joseph Manjuvalli is the 1 st vicar of St. Joseph Church, and he served here from 1978 to 1980.
Foundation stone for constructing church was laid by Msgr. George Njaralakkatt on June 29th 2003.
The new church was blessed on 13th April 2005 by Mar Jose Porunnedom, and in presence of vicar Fr. George Muthirakalayil.
