St.Francis Xaviour's Church is situated close to Govt. Engineering College Thrissur, and also 100 meters away from Vimala College Thrisur. The church bus stop is known as Pallimoola bus stop.
The church is only 4 KM away from Thrissur railway station.


The church consist of 800 families which is divided in to 21 family units. The church celebrate St.sebastain feast on January 2nd saturday and sunday every year.

History

Foundation stone for the church was laid on august 10, 1910 by Rt.Rev.Dr John Menacherry and the blessings too was done by him in May 7, 1911.

The land for the church was donated by Manavalan Alangattularan Chakkunny Porinchu in 1909.

The first vicar of this church was Rev.Fr. Yohannan Ukken from 1911 to 1914. It's Silver Jubliee celebration was in the year 1936 and followed by Golden Jubliee in 1961.

First renovation of the church was done under the guidance of Fr.John Vazhapilly in the year 1964. And the second renovation was in the year 1991 under Fr.Lawrence Ollakkengil. Foundation stone of new church was laid on september 8, 2003 by H.G Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy, Metrapolitan Archbishop of Thrissur .
